Family Get Together ... after Christmas

Talmage, Jodi, Seth, Spencer and Wendy ... ready for presents.

Seth and Spencer got animal blankets ... Seth is a dog and Spencer a monkey ... they LOVED them ... so cute!

Here's the little boys all playing with legos ... a universal toy for all boys!

McKay had been sick since they got here so we stayed home all day Wed. and let him rest. Talmage kept playing with ALL the toys in the toy closet ... here is his tower (it is as tall as he is). He is very creative and will play all day long (we just needed to keep telling him he was doing good things ...which he was!)

Christmas Day 2011

After Santa came ... a very quiet Christmas ... only Dennis, Wendy and I.

Another view of the tree! (And NO ... I forgot to take any more pictures of the morning!!!)

We had a yummy Christmas dinner at Dave and Amy's ... here is Spencer on the back porch.

And Seth swinging ... no snow this year ... kind of a different Christmas (cold, but no snow!)

Grandma Day ... getting ready for Christmas!

Seth came to spend the night and to help me with some chores that needed to be done before Mike and Jodi and the boys arrive. He actually enjoyed cleaning the shower ... see how it shines!

He did a great job ... and it was much appreciated! He was earning 'Grandma Bucks' to pay for his mom and dad's Christmas presents, which he helped wrap. Now to see if he can keep the secret for 3 whole days!!

Somehow Seth hadn't ever seen the laundry shoot in our master bathroom ... and it was quite the novelty! Here he is, with a flashlight, looking down into it. (He kept asking me if there was anthing else that needed to go down!) After he dropped some towels we had to go to the basement and he wanted to see the things ... and then he helped get them in the washing machine!)

Another view of Seth checking it out ... I was in the basement. (He got home to his house and wanted to figure out how they could have a laundry shoot ... even brought in some wood so he could create one.) We had a fun time ... and it gave Amy a chance to get some things ready for Christmas. Love you Seth ...thanks for coming to stay!

More Thanksgiving pictures!

Trying to find places to store all of the bread is a bit of a challenge. Notice Jodi in the back ... up on a ladder ... she is stashing Pumpkin Spice bread, which sold out by about 2 p.m. on Wednesday. They baked several hundren loaves!!

Here is Jearlene, on the floor, about 6:30 a.m. (she and Kathy Lee had been there all night). She is organizing the pre-orders, which are on all of those shelves. Dennis and I stayed until about 1:30 a.m. and came back about 6:15 a.m. to distribute the bread! It was a good season for them ...well planned and only one minor mistake ... good job everyone! We understand why they are so worn out every holiday! We came home exhausted too!

Thanksgiving dinner ... the kids table: Talmage (a friend) McKay at the back (another friend) and Tanner. (They invited a family who was going to be alone to join us ... their boys play sports with McKay and Talmage)

The adult table ... in their dining room! ... Mike's plate and arm, Jodi, Jearlene, (Dennis' spot ... he is taking the pic) Ruthie, Jeff, Kathy Lee, Cory Carter, and their friends wife. Yummy dinner and good company ... still exhausted from the events of the week, as you can see.

Thanksgiving ... at the Bakery!

Dennis and I decided to spend Thanksgiving in Henderson, NV helping at the bakery! We left Springville Fri. 11/18 and drove to St George where we stayed with Mom and Vern (Mom had fallen and fractured her pelvis a few weeks earlier and Karren was there helping out) ... unfortuately I forgot to get pics! We also visited old friends ... Jeff and Sharon Link, who recently retired there ... but no pics of them either!! NEXT TIME!! This is a pictue of the beginning of the roll/bread process at the bakery ... amazing what they do!

We helped at the Bakery Sat., Mon., Tues., and Wed. These pictures are from the ALL NIGHT bake ... Tuesday night. Above they are rolling some of the 4300+ rolls that they made that night. When there is bread on the table EVERYONE (who knows how!) is working getting them ready for the ovens. (Jodi is in the green ... Mike is on the opposite corner ... and Janna in red!)

Here are a few of the rolls ... out of the oven ...cooling and getting ready to be bagged. These are the Challah rolls ... they are amazing!

This is Jearlene (Mike's sister) and I trying to get the finished bread sorted and organized (and the orders pulled). The lobby was FULL of bread before the process was over.
