When the Family Gets Together ... August 2011

Ryan and Alisa and Owen came from Minneapolis ... what a beautiful family (and they just announced that there will be an addition in February!)

On Thursday evening we were getting ready for dinner and a powerful storm came in ... which brought lots of HAIL ... this was our deck, after the sun came out. For about 20 min. we had an amazing storm (thunder, lightening, rain, hail). We actually got .4 in the rain gauge in about 20 minutes. (We all stood in the garage watching it ... quite a storm!!)

Jodi curled Alisa's hair ... so here they are looking quite beautiful! (They could be sisters ... all we needed was Amy with them and they would be triplets!)

McKay is our official 'baby tender' when he is here ... everyone loves McKay! Here he is with his two cousins ... Owen and Spencer!

Friday night we had a dinner with our good friends, The Risley's (who now live in NH!) They were here visiting their kids so we invited them to come and see all of our kids and g-kids, there were 39 of us all together. In the picture are (the backs of) Tammy, Linda, Marty, Dennis, Jodi and Mike.

Another table ... Ryan and Alisa, Tammy, (her daughter Cora) Mike and Jodi, (Carter, David's youngest) and Wendy. (Not sure why Carter was there ... how cute is that, Carter with the adults?)

Saturday morning we went out to the property to show them the improvements we have made, and to let Mike and Jodi's boys get to ride the 4-wheelers. Here are McKay, Tanner and Talmage heading out for a quick ride.

We had a great weekend ... Mike and Jodi stayed with us as well. They came up to pick up Tanner from EFY. It was fun to have so many staying here for a change. We have great kids and love having them around. Wish they all weren't so far away!
