We took our 4-wheelers to our friend's, Ted and Linnae Wilcox's cabin near Idaho City, ID. While there we went on '3' different rides that they planned for us. The first ride was a total of 86 miles ... and we saw some absolutely beautiful country. Most of our trails took us along the Boise River which made it even more spectacular!!
Here is a picture of a baby eagle in its nest ... we also saw some deer and a mother moose and her calf (but they were too quick for us to photograph) and many chipmunks, squirrels and an amazing amount of butterflies!!! We loved being out in nature!
Here is one of the views of the North Fork of the Boise River. We also rode along the Middle Fork. We ate lunch along the way ... and stopped many times for photos and snacks. It was a lot of fun and the weather was amazing ... not too hot !!!
On day #2 we rode about 60 miles ... and on the way back we got to go through a creek. Dennis always gets to go through water first ... and then we follow. We learned that 'still waters run deep' ~ which means if the water has no ripples, it is probably deeper. Look for the ripples, and it is a shallower crossing. Here's Ruthie crossing ... notice ... her feet are Up so they don't get wet! Day #3 was about 30 miles.
Here's all 4 of us ... Linnae and Ted above and Ruth Ann and Dennis below. It was a fun trip and we are thankful for our friendship with the Wilcoxes and their great adventure!!
